One of the most common problems when buying a ring online is getting the size wrong. A ring that doesn't fit is one of the most disappointing experiences in jewelry shopping — which is why we've created this complete ring size guide specifically for Indian buyers.
Why Ring Size Is Tricky
Your finger size is not fixed. It changes throughout the day (fingers swell in heat and shrink in cold), with weight changes, and with age. This is why professional jewellers measure fingers at different times of day. For the most accurate measurement at home, measure in the afternoon when fingers are at their average size — not first thing in the morning when they may be slightly swollen.
How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home
Method 1: Paper Strip Method (Most Accurate)
1. Cut a thin strip of paper, about 1cm wide and 10cm long
2. Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you want to ring (usually the ring finger of the left hand for engagement rings)
3. The strip should be comfortable — not loose, not tight
4. Mark the point where the paper overlaps with a pen
5. Unwrap and measure the length in millimetres
6. Use the chart below to find your ring size
Method 2: Existing Ring Method
If you have a ring that already fits the correct finger:
1. Place it flat on a ruler
2. Measure the inside diameter in millimetres
3. Use the chart below to find your size

Ring Sizing Tips
**For solitaire rings**: Size up by half a size, as the stone head can feel tighter than a plain band.
**For eternity bands**: These cannot be resized easily (because diamonds run the full circle), so measure extra carefully. Consider sizing up by 0.5.
**For couple rings**: Each person's size is measured independently — don't assume your partner is the same size.
**In different seasons**: If you live in a particularly hot or cold region of India, measure in the season when you'll wear the ring most.
